Crit Ratio Analyzer

Crit is the biggest lever on expected damage — when it's balanced. Check your ratio, compare two builds head-to-head, and get a one-line answer on what to farm next.

How it works

expected crit multiplier = 1 + CR × CD
optimum (fixed budget) : CD = 2 × CR
CV (comparison shorthand) = 2×CR + CD

With a fixed total of crit substat value, splitting it CR:CD in a 1:2 ratio maximizes the expected multiplier. Below 100% crit rate the same math holds for average damage, but per-rotation consistency drops — that reliability cost is why floors matter.

FAQ

What is the 1:2 crit rule?

With a fixed crit budget, expected damage is maximized when Crit DMG% = 2 × Crit Rate% (e.g. 60/120, 75/150). The analyzer tells you how far off that optimum your build is — and which side to feed next.

Should I always chase the 1:2 ratio?

No. Floor effects matter: below ~50% crit rate, crit is unreliable per rotation, so many players push crit rate first even past the ratio. And if a set piece offers a big CD bump, taking it and rebalancing later is fine — the analyzer shows the cost.

How do I compare two discs or two builds?

Enter each build's CR/CD as Build A and Build B. The tool shows both expected crit multipliers and the winner. For full damage, feed the winner into the damage calculator.
